How to Improve Eyesight?

Improve Your Eyesight
To combat vision problems, juice together kale, orange bell pepper, celery stalks, beet with greens, kiwis. You can juice your preferred combination of organic fruits and veggies that contain nutrients required for healthy eyes (including provitamin A carotenoids, lutein, bioflavonoids, vits A, E, C). Else, make a smoothie. Also, reduce electronics usage and give the eyes a 5-min break every 20 mins.

How Your Eyes Work
Our eyes gather, focus, and transmit light through a lens to create an image of our environment. The image is created on the retina, which is a thin layer of light-sensitive cells at the back of the eye. The lens of the eye bends, or refracts, light that enters the eye.
The cornea, which is a clear, transparent covering in the front portion of the eye, also contributes to focusing light on the retina. Nerve fibers extending back from the retina’s nerve cells come together behind the retina to form the optic nerve, a “cable” of nerve fibers connecting the eye with the brain.
The optic nerve transmits messages about what we see from the eye to the brain. Our eyes control the amount of light that enters the eye through the lens under various lighting conditions.
Generally, we need glasses to correct blurred or distorted vision caused by imperfections in the eyes’ focusing mechanism. But aside from wearing glasses or contacts, what can we do to help improve our eye health?
Eat whole, plant-based foods and juices of fresh fruits and vegetables.
